The pencil drawing shown above was created by referencing two separate photographs (see pictures to the right). The babies were to be drawn together, however the baby on the right was not facing forward in the original bottom photo. Therefore, I used the baby’s face in the top photograph so she would be looking straight ahead like her sister. Since this is a “full-body” drawing, the work is considered custom. There is an extra fee for custom drawings. Please e-mail me for a price quote for custom work.

There are many portrait options available for your choosing. First, you must decide how many people you would like to have drawn and whether you’d like individual portraits or one portrait with several people in it. Next, determine if you’d like the drawing to be done in graphite or colored pencil. Then decide how large you’d like the drawing or drawings to be. I offer 9X12, 11X14, and 11X17 paper sizes. The paper sizes can be larger if there is more than 4 people to be drawn together. The paper used for the drawing is a light-weight, acid free, professional-grade Bristol board.

Keep in mind, when it comes to having the finished portrait matted, the dimensions of the mat will generally be larger than the dimensions of the finished artwork. For example, if the size of your portrait is 14 X 17, a professional framer may add a 16 X 20 or an 18 X 22 inch mat, depending on the width you’d like the mat to be. A standard size mat for a portrait is about three inches wide. The opening of your mat should be cut about one half inch smaller than your portrait. A professional framer can help you with your matting and framing needs. Unfortunately, at this time, I don’t offer matting or framing.
